Construction Documents

Construction documents include all drawings, specifications, and addenda that are necessary to define a construction project. These documents identify all materials to be used in projects ranging from a minor remodeling job to a multi-million dollar new building. There are many phases through which preparation of these documents, specifications and addenda progress. These phases allow for flexibility and communication between architect and client.

Phases:

• 2 Schematic Design
• 3 Design Development
• 4 Construction Documents

Through these phases, the project ’s scope will be specified to ensure the designer/owner’s intent is achieved.
